Recently, Kenya’s National Referral and Modern Medical Research Hospital EPC Project (KNRRH) held a grand groundbreaking ceremony, which was hosted by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta himself.At the event site, XCMG excavating machinery, loading machinery, road machinery and other complete sets of equipment lined up neatly, shining with the blue sky and white clouds.


At the groundbreaking ceremony, President Uhuru Kenyatta walked into the cab of XCMG XE215C excavator. Under the guidance of the staff, he personally manipulated the operating lever and slowly dug out the first shovel representing the start of the project. applause.President Uhuru Kenyatta highly praised the outstanding contribution of China Construction and Made in China to Kenya's infrastructure construction.


He said that the high level of quality, efficiency, safety and other aspects of these infrastructure projects has promoted the development of local industries in Kenya. He hoped that Chinese products will continue to play a role and contribute to Kenya's infrastructure construction.


It is understood that the project is adjacent to ABC Plaza, covers an area of 130,000 square meters, and has a construction area of approximately 160,000 square meters. It is one of the country's key projects. XCMG loaders, road rollers, mixer trucks, excavators and other types of complete sets of equipment will participate in the construction of the project.This is another milestone project for XCMG to actively participate in the construction of the “Belt and Road” and join hands with African countries to fight the epidemic and build a community with a shared future for mankind's epidemic prevention. After the project is completed, it will provide the Kenyan people with better medical conditions and further improve the happiness of the Kenyan people.


It is reported that as the first batch of Chinese construction machinery companies to enter the African market, XCMG established a branch in Kenya as early as 2011. In 2018, XCMG established the first overseas directly-operated spare parts center in Nairobi to provide XCMG customers in five East African countries with high-quality and timely spare parts services, further enhancing XCMG's competitiveness and brand reputation.
